Solaris GreenTech Hub

Solaris is a green/renewable energy startup that is driving clean energy inclusion and education, fighting energy poverty and creating green jobs in Nigeria. We design, manufacture and deploy micro solar solutions to areas disconnected from the national grid. Solaris has been locally building solar hubs (charging booths, micropower kits) and selling power to rural and peri-urban community dwellers since 2021. The Solaris Power Booth is a product of Solaris that solves the energy problem faced by individuals and small businesses in rural and peri-urban communities that are disconnected from the national grid. The Solaris Power Booth is designed for mobile charging and also provide energy for small businesses to run their businesses efficiently and therefore replaces the use of power generators that contributes to hazardous climate conditions. A Solaris Power Booth can be integrated by small businesses such as agency banking for mobile charging or set up for MSMEs to supply power for them to increase their productivity. Our MSMEs focus are the leather manufacturing cluster of Aba, Abia State which houses over 200,000 artisans and are completely disconnected from the national grid. For mobile charging, our solar booth serves community members giving them access to clean energy. Our innovation is solar-based combined with digital electronics. It comprise of; 1. Battery pack 2. Charge controller and rectified DC output 3. Mono solar panels 4. LED bulbs fitted with USB 5. Detachable booth/kiosk We adopt a PAYGO model and also an agency model which allows MSMEs to install or fix our booths at strategic locations or in their shops and enjoy clean at a very affordable rate.
